As a child, my means of self-expression was mostly through a ton of coloring books, paints and crayons. In fact, for the longest time until my teenage I thought I’ll become a fashion designer! Only to later graduate as a computer science engineer. Probably thanks to asian societal conventions and good grades in school for that. 🥲😄

I was about two years into working as a software developer when I came across design as a profession. It felt like a perfect amalgamation of all things that I had an inclination towards - creative expression, understanding the human psyche, enabling businesses and creating impact in varying capacities on the lives of people like you and me.

When I started out in design (with the help of the 10kdesigners UI/UX course) there were a lot of people who directly or indirectly helped me learn the skills and tools required to do the job that I do today. And so, when 10kdesigners gives me the opportunity to share my bit of experience with upcoming designers, I gladly participate as a mentor. It honestly feels surreal to know that I can play a (minuscule) part in so many journeys!
